Guess What?!
Yall!! GUESS WHAT!?!…. WE WERE BOTH CLEARED by CBCU (centralized background check unit). Which means….we can OFFICIALLY and FINALLY have someone come to our house to finish our home study. Once that is done we will officially be “ACTIVE”.
Which means, we can finally be presented to birth moms! YAY. :)

On a different note, to this point…we have already spent close to 10,000. And, we are not even to the “active” phase yet. sheesh.
Our costs have included: consulting company fee, homestudy fee, adoption book fee, photographer fee, paying for finger printing, paying for labs/government documents, Drs visits & lab tests. PHEW.
We are just so incredibly ready to be in the “active” phase guys. We are ready to start the process of matching and chatting with birth moms. We have heard that since Covid has happened the amount of cases to match with has dropped significantly. Some people are waiting close to 18+ months to be matched….and honestly, that seems like so long from now.
We have 2 specific prayer requests from you if you are the praying type.
That the home study process doesn’t take too long and we can have all of our paperwork done and sent off by 12/3. (if its after 12/3 we will not be considered active until mid Jan. of 2022)
Please pray that we are chosen for the Government grant we are hoping to receive. It would truly help us out SO SO much (they will match what we raise).
