Thank YOU!!

First off— THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of those that prayed for our home study process. We are happy to say that our social worker has said that we have PASSED!! yay (insert happy dance).

Last night, tommy and I celebrated this little triumph with dinner out with the kids and going to look at Christmas lights. So fun!

Unfortunately, and this is where ya’ll come in, BIG. Because I truly to believe in the power of prayer….Our social worker told us that she is about 3-4 weeks out from having our paperwork done for the home study. :( Which feels so incredibly defeating. That is just another month, that we are sitting here waiting. Not seeing birth mom profiles and NOT in the phase of being able to match with anyone. It was hard to hear that yesterday…really hard to be excited to be done with something big in the process to hear we still have a month + till we are able to possibly match.

Basically, best case scenario right now is that we are “active” around or a little before my birthday in February. SOOO—again, this is where we need your help. We would LOVE if you could add our family to your daily prayer list. Praying specifically for our hearts as we wait & Pray for our social worker to find the time to speed up the process by a little bit. Whether that be through extra hands to help, or space opening in her schedule. Our hopes were that we would be active first of January.

I know Gods probably laughing at me as I type this, for he already knows our story, our path and it is all in his timing. I trust that and usually just need a little daily reminder (haha patience is not my strongest trait).

Also, yesterday I was able to showcase our adoption book on my insta stories and it made my heart melt seeing everyones responses! I love that you guys are there cheering us on as much as we are cheering our family on. We loved getting to make that book and showcase a little about us. I hope that birth moms see it and see the love we have to give to their little one. :) <3

Some of you have asked what are the next steps:

  1. Submit all of our paperwork on our end to our consulting company.

  2. Wait and pray for our home study paperwork.

  3. Finish filling out applications for the larger agencies our consulting company works for

  4. Apply for the Lifesong Grant as soon as our HS paperwork is in.

Thank you guys so much for being here. For donating. For gifting us with so much baby stuff. We already feel truly blessed, loved and prayed for.

Just a small shout out to my friend Cassie Limoges for gifting us hundreds of dollars worth of baby stuff and not taking a penny for it. We could not be more grateful to her generous and kind heart!!

She gifted us: -nuna carseat, -2 nuna bases, -nuna stroller, -toddler bed, -sound machine, -baby swing, -dock-a-tot, -boppy & covers, -tons of swaddles, -bumbo, -2 baby wearing items, and so much more! She is a true gem and I am so thankful God put her in my life 4 years ago!

Thank you to Cristin Van Aswegen for giving us a HUGE DEAL on a crib, rocker, and baby dresser/changing table. All gender neutral and PERFECT for our soon to be baby! So thankful and thoughtful AND she kept our secret for months before we were ready to tell anyone :). What a gem.

And last, but not least, thank you to the several friends and family members who have donated to our Go-Fund-Me and bought sweatshirts to help support our adoption! We truly could not afford to do this without all of ya’ll and your generous hearts!
