Why is Adoption so Expensive?

“That’s a lot of money”

I wanted to give everyone a break down of why adoption is so expensive and what, if you choose to donate, your money will be going to.

Not only does the cost of adoption take care of the not so fun things of, lawyers, court costs, and agency stuff. BUT- a lot of that money goes to the birth mom getting counseling for life. Let me break it down for you below….

Here is a BREAK DOWN:

• Agency Expenses-$15,000

• Advertising of Agency to expectant moms-$5,000

• Travel-$1650

• Living Expenses-$11,000

• Case Management-$3650

• Post Partem Expenses-$4200

• Home Study- $1500

• Adoption Book- $900

• Photoshoot for Adoption Book- $500

• Consulting Company- $4200

We love that the agencies that support these expectant moms are willing to pay for anything and everything they need while they’re pregnant and then turn around and take care of those mamas hearts once they’ve made the hard decision to place their baby with adoptive parents.

So, you may be asking why are you raising funds if you can receive a government grant? Well, the only grant we qualify for is a matching grant. They will MATCH our raised funds…so the more we raise, the larger a government grant will be :). YAY!

So, thank you…thank you for no matter how large or small your donation is. Every little bit helps. We cannot wait to meet this mom and her baby and help them feel loved AND know who Jesus is.
