Two…

Well, it’s official…we have been “active” for 1 month of our contract and we are a little over two months into our 12mo contract (after 12 mo we have to re-do our homestudy and pay the consulting fee again, which is around $7,000 in total)….& we have seen a total of TWO cases. :(

TWO ya’ll!!…. and one of which we could not say yes to, b/c after all was said and done with travel and lawyer expenses and a NICU stay… it would have been close to $80-$90,000 dollars. (insert mind blown emoji).

Our budget is pretty hefty with being $60,000. With raising 5K from you generous donors, waiting to hear back from a matching grant of up to 10K…and around 45k of our savings. (this does not include the almost 10K we have already spent to get to this point).

Has anyone told y’all that ADOPTION IS EXPENSIVE??? haha

We are hopeful that March will bring us more cases, which means more opportunities and closer to our baby. God is good and he knows our hearts desires. This baby is worth the wait!! If you are the praying kind, add us to your daily prayer list. Things specifically you can pray for:

• That our faith doesn’t waiver.

• That our hearts do not harden to this process.

• For the birth mother out there making the most selfless decision.

• That our baby is presented to us before we have to “renew” our contract with FAC.

• For patience. ALLLL the patience.

We are SOOO SUPER THANKFUL for my brother and his wife for inviting us on their beach vacation to Florida, since we are saving for our adoption we did not have plans to travel…..but, They knew just what we needed, break with family and loved ones & some sunshine and giggles out of these kiddos….thanks for being here guys and catching all our updates!
